About us

The Tutor Company Edinburgh is a well-established, successful agency specialising in providing excellent tuition for secondary school students. This will be our eleventh year of supporting students in the Edinburgh area and beyond.

The company is owned and run by Andrew Dorward, MA, PGDE. Andrew has an MA joint honours in English and Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh and achieved his PGDE from the same university in 2017 after a career overseas in publishing and IT. Andrew has been working as a tutor with the company for six years, teaching mainly English and History.

We cover most subjects in the SQA curriculum as well as GCSE, A level and International Baccalaureate. Our subjects include English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, French, German, Spanish, History, Geography, Modern Studies, Economics, Business Management, Philosophy and more.

The Tutor Company has consistently produced excellent exam results with our students. After many successful years, we have worked with students from most Edinburgh schools and with online teaching are spreading our locus further afield.
